Players to watch out for
Phiona Kulume:
She was the wrecker-in-chief for Uganda as she scalped 6-11 in four overs in her last outing against Namibia. Though Uganda ended up on the losing side, this right arm gentle medium pacer won the player of the match for her breathtaking bowling performance.
Janet Mbabazi:
This right handed top order batter of Uganda top scored with 12 runs off 17 balls. She led the run chase from the front however kept losing partners at regular intervals. She fought hard but in the end failed to cross the line as her team fell shy of 28 runs against Namibia.
Josephine Nkomo:
This right arm medium pace bowler from Zimbabwe won the player of the match in her last outing against Namibia when she struck with 4-7 in three overs. She opened the bowling and bowled well with the new ball inside the powerplay.
Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano:
The left handed opening batter of Zimbabwe led the run chase with an unbeaten 28 off 20 balls against Namibia. She hit four boundaries and a six during her innings. She played some good looking shots and ran well between the wickets.
Pitch
The last match that was played here was a low scoring affair as just over a 100 runs were scored. The wicket is getting slower and slower making it difficult for the batters. On the other hand, bowlers can exploit the conditions well and yield rich dividends.
