Players to watch out:

Courtney Webb

The 23-year-old batter in the previous WNCL season piled on 594 runs, at an average of 54.00, and registered the highest score of 110*. Courtney was part of the Australia ‘A’ team that toured England mid-this year and in the One-Dayers notched up successive fifties. In this summer’s WNCL edition, Courtney in the opener had a cameo to play and did well, scoring an unbeaten 8-ball 19*.

Jemma Barsby

The 27-year-old left-arm spinner, with a 5-fer (5/20 off 10) in the 23-24 WNCL season opener, has picked up from where she left off last summer. It was just another impactful season for Jamma last summer as she scalped 20 wickets in 13 appearances, maintaining an economy rate of 4.70. She also averaged 39.83 with the bat, scoring 239 runs from 10 outings.

Katie Mack

The 30-year-old batter is another very promising talent who has displayed consistency in scoring big runs over the past few seasons. Katie, who racked up 371 runs from 12 outings in the previous edition and in the 2021 edition, piled on 418 runs in only 8 innings. Eyeing yet another big season, she got the 23-24 season underway with an unbeaten 95*, and with that, you know what’s to come.

Alisha Bates

The 21-year-old all-rounder impressed in bits last season, with a string of starts with the bat and a wicket each in most of her outings. In her first appearances this summer, Alisha played a valuable knock in the opener, scoring 43 runs, further enhancing her reputation. With the ball, she finished her 4 overs with figures of 0/20.

Pitch:

The Karen Rolton Oval, Adelaide, dishes good batting-friendly surfaces, and we can expect it to be no different this season with an average score in the 230s. As indicated by the average score, the wicket has enough in it for bowlers, especially the spinners who can change the course of the game.

The conditions at Karen Rolton Oval, Adelaide, are forecasted to be bright and pleasant for cricket. The temperature is expected to hover around 22°C with light winds and humidity at 46%.
