Players to watch out:
Chloe Piparo
The 30-year-old batter has accumulated 888 runs from 77 WBBL innings, with the highest score of 50*. Chloe is a seasoned performer in the domestic circuit but is yet to convert that success into the WBBL. She notched up a century in a One-Dayer and, a game apart, scored 82* in a T20 outing leading up to the WBBL. However, she has departed cheaply for 23, 1, and 4 in this campaign and hopefully finds her footing.
Alana King
The 28-year-old leg-spinner has secured 116 wickets from 107 WBBL outings at an economy rate of 6.68, while also being more than handy with the bat. Alana secured 19 wickets from 15 WBBL outings last season and also chipped in, scoring 103 runs at a strike rate of 113.18. She picked up where she left off, returning figures of 3/20, 2/35, and 5/16 in this campaign and can be banked upon to lead the tally.
Hayley Matthews
The 26-year-old all-rounder in the WBBL has amassed 1,449 runs from 84 outings at a strike rate of 104.54 and has taken 67 wickets from 71 innings at an economy rate of 6.98. Hayley displayed good all-round form in the recently concluded T20 World Cup, and extending this form, registered scores of 35 and 41, alongside bowling returns of 2/21 and 2/21. The seasoned all-rounder can be counted on to deliver the goods.
Georgia Wareham
The 25-year-old bowling all-rounder has taken 55 wickets from 68 WBBL outings at an economy rate of 7.06, while also scoring 712 runs at a strike rate of 128.28 from 44 innings. Georgia kicked off this WBBL campaign with a 31-ball 61, and while her subsequent scores read 11, 10*, and 12, her consistent bowling returns read 3/26, 1/20, 2/35, and 1/13. The team can expect her to produce all-round efforts.
Pitch:
The 22 yards at the W.A.C.A. Ground makes for a well-balanced center wicket, providing a fair contest between bat and ball. The pitch offers assistance to both spinners and pacers while also favoring the batters, resulting in an average score in the 150s.
Weather:
It’ll be a pleasant day in Perth for some cricket, with clear skies and a minimal chance of rain. The temperature is forecast to be around 17°C, with moderate winds and a humidity of 62%.
Fantasy playing XI:
Beth Mooney, Deandra Dottin, Alice Capsey, Courtney Webb, Hayley Matthews, Georgia Wareham, Sophie Devine, Amy Edgar, Sophie Molineux, Alana King, Chloe Ainsworth
