Players to watch out:

Sanjana Kavindi

The 15-year-old all-rounder had notable Twenty20 (T20) outings earlier in this series, and continuing her form, she top-scored for the team in the One Day opener. Sanjana scored a solid 94-ball 54 and is the batter in form who will be relied upon to lead the scoring in this game.

Shashini Gimhani

The 15-year-old left-arm leg-spinner has displayed notable form in this series, scalping 4 wickets from as many T20s. Capitalizing on her form, Shashini returned figures of 3/48 (10) in the One Day opener, and she will be banked upon for another such match-winning spell.

Katie Jones

The 18-year-old keeper-batter in the 2023 English domestic season scored 48 from a couple of outings and also wasn’t required much with the bat in the T20s this series. However, Katie scored a fine 46-ball 57 in the 1st One-Dayer and can be counted on to extend this batting form.

Alexa Stonehouse

The 19-year-old left-arm pacer in the One Dayers, in the ’23 domestic season, chipped in scoring 179 runs from 10 innings and picking up 9 wickets from 12 outings. Alexa, in the One Day opener this tour, registered figures of 1/37 (10). It’ll be hoped she continues to deliver the goods.

Pitch:

The Galle wicket features a well-balanced center wicket that’s favorable for both batters and bowlers, particularly the pacers to make an impact on the game. The average score of over 230 at this venue suggests favorable conditions for run-scoring.

Weather:

The conditions in Galle are expected to be pleasant for cricket, with partly cloudy skies and a low chance of rain. The temperature is forecasted to hover around 33°C, with light winds and a humidity level of 67%.
