Southern Brave beat Trent Rockets in the nail-biting eliminator by just two runs to advance to the finals. On the other hand, Oval Invincibles qualified for the finals on the back of five wins in six league matches. These two teams, which were the finalists in the last year’s competition, played against each other in the league stage this year, in which Southern Brave pipped Oval Invincibles by 12 runs. Will Southern Brave have the last laugh and clinch their maiden championship or will Oval Invincibles defend their title?

Georgia Adams: 

The all-rounder from England made useful contributions with both bat and ball in her last outing against Trent Rockets. Batting at number six, the right-hander top scored with 38 off 24, including three boundaries and a couple of sixes. The right arm off spinner also scalped 15/2 in 15 balls.

The Australian all-rounder won the player of the match for Southern Brave in the eliminator against Trent Rockets. The right-handed middle order batter scored 31 off 29, including five boundaries. With the ball, bowling right arm medium pace, she claimed 36/2 in her full set of 20 balls.

Suzie Bates: 

The right-handed opening batter of Oval Invincibles is the leading run scorer for her team and the second highest run getter in this competition so far with 229 runs in six matches, including the best of 79 not out. She has a healthy average of 46 and a blistering strike rate of 151. She will be required to get the team to a good start with the bat in the finals of the tournament.

Eva Gray: 

The right arm speedster of Oval Invincibles has accounted for seven wickets in six matches in the tournament so far. She has been a good bowler in the middle phase of the innings and at the death. She has a decent economy rate of under six runs per over and has registered the best bowling figures of 12/2.

Pitch

This will be the fourth match of the tournament at this venue. The teams batting second have won all the three matches that have been played here so far. The highest score achieved here is 122 and the lowest score made here is 80. With a thick cloud cover and high chance of rain, the toss will play an important role. Seamers may enjoy bowling here. Batting could be tricky.
