Deandra Dottin: 

The hard hitting right-handed opening batter from West Indies will play for Manchester Originals this season. She has the ability to tear apart any bowling attack when she is on song. Apart from her batting, she is more than a handy right-arm medium pace bowler. She is an athletic fielder too. 

Sophie Ecclestone: 

She is the world number one bowler in the limited overs format in women’s cricket. The wily left arm spinner from England, who will feature for Manchester Originals, is a genuine wicket-taker and has earned the reputation of bowling in consistent lines and lengths over the years.

Natalie Sciver: 

The star English all-rounder will lead Trent Rockets. She is a right-handed batter and a right arm medium pace bowler. She will be expected to lead from the front and contribute with both bat and ball. Recently, she led England to the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Games. 

Alana King: 

The right arm leg spinner from Australia will play for Trent Rockets. She has the uncanny ability to take crucial wickets and break partnerships. She has good leg spins and googlies in her repertoire. Additionally, she is more than a handy right-handed lower order batter.

Pitch

This will be the first match of the tournament at this venue. Last year, out of the four matches played as a part of the Women’s Hundred, teams batting first won two and the team batting second won one, with one match getting abandoned due to rain. The average first innings score is 121 and the average second innings score is 109. Expect a good contest between bat and ball.
