The right-handed batter and wicketkeeper, Hunter started her cricketing career with the Irish Women’s cricket team that competed in the Women’s Super-series. She played for Dragon for a year from 2017 to 18 and then since 2019 has been a part of the Typhoons. This youngster made her international debut during the T20Is against Scotland in May this year though she wasn’t able to get a chance to bat after a good performance by the team’s top order contributing a total of 137 with the loss of four wickets and then bowlers bowled out Scotland for just 76 runs. Hunter was also a part of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier 2021 held in Spain from 26th to 30th August this year where Ireland finished as the Runner-ups and Scotland as the Champions.

This young talent got her ODI cap just last week on 5th October during the first ODI of their tour to Zimbabwe and today during the fourth ODI of the series, has scored an unbeaten 121 of 127 deliveries that include 8 boundaries. Her contribution has taken Ireland’s total to 312 of their 50 overs after being put in to bat by Zimbabwe. Currently, Ireland leads the four-match series by 2-1 and is dominating the fourth ODI too which is currently underway at the Harare Sports Club, Zimbabwe.
