How many Overseas Players will participate in Women’s Big Bash League 2021?

The seventh edition of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) will start from October 14 and the tournament will be played across different venues in Australia. The T20 league will see a total of 59 matches being played among eight teams. The final will be played on November 27.

The squads of all eight teams have been announced and there are a total of 21 overseas players, who will represent different teams in the tournament. There are players from England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sri Lanka. India has the maximum participation with eight players playing for different teams.

England players in Women’s Big Bash League 2021:

There are four players, namely, Evelyn Jones (Melbourne Renegades), Maia Bouchier (Melbourne Stars), Linsey Smith (Melbourne Stars), Isabelle Wong (Sydney Thunder) from England who will be featuring in the seventh edition of WBBL.

India players in Women’s Big Bash League 2021:

There are eight players, namely, Poonam Yadav (Brisbane Heat), Richa Ghosh (Hobart Hurricanes), Harmanpreet Kaur (Melbourne Renegades), Jemimah Rodrigues (Melbourne Renegades), Shafali Verma (Sydney Sixers), Radha Yadav (Sydney Sixers), Deepti Sharma (Sydney Thunder), Smriti Mandhana (Sydney Thunder) from India who will be featuring in the seventh edition of WBBL.

Ireland players in Women’s Big Bash League 2021::

Kimberley Garth (Melbourne Stars) is the only player from Ireland to play in the seventh edition of WBBL.

New Zealand players in Women’s Big Bash League 2021::

There are two players, namely, Rachel Priest (Hobart Hurricanes), Sophie Devine (Perth Scorchers) from New Zealand who will be featuring in the seventh edition of WBBL.

South Africa players in Women’s Big Bash League 2021::

There are five players, namely, Dane van Niekerk (Adelaide Strikers), Laura Wolvaardt (Adelaide Strikers), Nadine de Klerk (Brisbane Heat), Mignon du Preez (Hobart Hurricanes), Marizanne Kapp (Perth Scorchers) from South Africa who will be featuring in the seventh edition of WBBL.

Sri Lanka players in Women’s Big Bash League 2021::

Chamari Athapaththu (Perth Scorchers) is the only player from Sri Lanka to play in the seventh edition of WBBL.
