Group B: Round IV – Punam Raut top scores for Railways as they win over Vidarbha – Senior Women’s T20 Trophy 2019
The third Round IV match of Group B, Railways vs Vidarbha took place in VCA KALAMNA in Nagpur. The match which was reduced to a 11-overs per side game saw a good contest from both sides.

The Railways started the innings in a positive manner with opener Punam Raut striking well. She made 32 runs in 21 balls. Priyanka Bala scored 10 runs in the 12 balls that she played while Mona Meshram made 15 in 9 balls. From Vidarbha, Kanchan Nagwani was exceptional with the ball. In the 3 overs that she bowled, she gave only 8 runs and took 3 important wickets of opener Priyanka Bala, captain Sneh Rana, and Mona Meshram. Nagwani also effected the run-out of Punam Raut. Railways made 79 runs in 11 overs losing 8 wickets.
In reply, Vidarbha started poorly. Their top 3 batters – Disha Kasat, captain Bharti Fulmali, and wicketkeeper Latika Inamdar – all departed scoring 1 each. Vaishnavi Khandkar 25(24) and Shivani Dharne 10(13) gave the side some hope. Nupur Kohale also scored 18 off 11 balls. Vidarbha lost 9 wickets and scored 68 runs in the end. Ekta Bisht and Swagatika Rath of Railways took 2 wickets apiece.
Result: Railways won by 11 runs.
