Group B: Round IV – Ayushi Garg’s unbeaten 42 helps Rajasthan win over Sikkim – Senior Women’s T20 Trophy 2019
After the first Round IV match of Group B between Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir had to be abandoned, the second game between Sikkim and Rajasthan took place in VCA Stadium. The match saw good performances from both the sides.

It was a contest of the equals as Rajasthan battled it out with Sikkim in Nagpur. Sikkim, on batting first put up a score of 96 runs. The openers had a good partnership with the first wicket of Sikkim falling in the 14th over. Captain Ananya Upendran made a half-century. She scored 55 runs in 56 balls and made the most runs for her side. Tshering Lepcha on the opposite end gave a good support to the captain. She made 19 runs off 37 balls. But the middle order failed to make an impact as 5 wickets fell in the last 5 overs. Sikkim finished on 96/6.
Rajasthan started their innings quite contrary to that of Sikkim. They lost their first wicket in the 3rd ball of the innings. It was their number 3 batter, the reliable Ayushi Garg who showed her mettle. She made an unbeaten 42 off 41 and saw the team through. Captain Suman Meena had to go back after getting retired hurt on 1. Next in the crease was Sangeeta Kumawat who played a handy knock of 21 in 14 balls. Rajasthan chased the target in 18 overs losing 4 wickets.
Result: Team Rajasthan won by 6 wickets.
