The sixth match of the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier 2021 will be played between Pakistan and Thailand on November 23 at the Takashinga Sports Club in Harare. While Pakistan will look to redeem themselves after the loss to Bangladesh in the first match of the tournament, Thailand, would look to continue with the momentum, after their eight-run win over Zimbabwe on November 21.

Players to watch out for

Nida Dar:

The veteran all-rounder was the top performer with the bat for Pakistan in her last match against Bangladesh. She muscled 87 runs off 111 balls, including eight boundaries and two sixes. She guided her team to a respectable score of 201 in 50 overs. With the ball, the right arm off spinner struck with 1-17 in her 10 overs, including one maiden.

Nashra Sandhu:

The left arm spinner was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan in her last outing against Bangladesh. She accounted for 2-24 in her 10 overs, including two maidens. The wily spinner bowled in good lines and lengths and kept the batters at bay. Pakistan will want her to be among the wickets in their upcoming matches.

Chanida Sutthiruang:

She was the player of the match in her last match against Zimbabwe. The right hand middle order bat scored 35 not out off 28 balls, including four boundaries. She came in to bat in the 41st over and provided the acceleration to Thailand’s scoring rate towards the fag end of the innings. With the ball, the right arm quick bowled just one over right at the start.

Nattakan Chantam:

The right-hand opening bat top scored with 48 runs off 59 balls, including seven boundaries. She stitched a 94-run partnership with Sornnarin Tippoch for the second wicket, which came off 20 odd overs. Thailand will want their opening bat to provide them with a solid start going into the next match as well.

Weather

The weather is expected to be cloudy throughout the course of the match. A couple of thunderstorms are on the cards. The average temperature will be around 23 degrees Celsius. There is 65% chance of precipitation during the match. There will be a wind blowing from the southwest in the morning (local) and from the west in the afternoon (local).

Pitch

This will be the first match of the tournament at this venue. There have been no international fixtures that have been played here till date. The wicket is expected to offer a good contest between the bat and ball.
