Canada’s innings did not begin with the ease that the final score might suggest. Namrit Dhillon and Harper Chalmers opened the batting but found run-scoring difficult against Argentina’s disciplined new-ball attack. Dhillon made 6 from 15 balls, while Chalmers contributed 13 from 17 deliveries. The pair added 18 runs before Dhillon was dismissed at 18/1 in the 3.5th over. Chalmers fell for 13 from 17 balls at 29/2 in the 6.1st over, leaving Canada in a tricky position.
