Sunrisers Leeds found runs hard to come by after losing three wickets in the first 25 balls. Bryony Smith made 7 from 7 balls, while Phoebe Litchfield scored 10 from 5 balls with one four and one six. Lauren Winfield-Hill was out for a first-ball duck. Annabel Sutherland then scored 25 from 23 balls, with two fours and one six, but Sunrisers could not build a partnership.

Deepti Sharma added 12 from 16 balls before Charley Phillips dismissed her. Captain Dani Gibson gave Sunrisers momentum with 22 from 16 balls, with four fours. However, wickets kept falling around her. Jess Jonassen and Darcey Carter both made ducks, while Kate Cross scored 7 from 10 balls. Hannah Baker remained unbeaten on 3 from 6 balls, and Cassidy McCarthy made 2 from 3 balls as Sunrisers fell for 91.

Trent Rockets shared the wickets across their attack. Kim Garth took 2 for 18 from 15 balls, while Samantha Bates claimed 2 for 17 from 16 balls. Charley Phillips took 2 for 12 from 15 balls, and Georgia Adams had the best figures with 2 for 9 from 15 balls. Ashleigh Gardner took 1 for 23 from 15 balls, while Georgia Elwiss went wicketless, conceding 12 from 15 balls.

Rockets started the chase as Sophia Dunkley and Beth Mooney attacked. Dunkley scored 41 from 23 balls, hitting four fours and two sixes, while Mooney made 31 from 21 balls with four fours. The pair added 69 runs for the first wicket before Dani Gibson dismissed Dunkley. Trent were already in control before the first wicket fell. Their fast start made the target look much smaller than it first appeared.

Nat Sciver-Brunt joined Mooney but scored 4 from only 2 balls before Annabel Sutherland removed her. Ashleigh Gardner came in and stayed unbeaten on 9 from 8 balls, hitting two fours. Mooney and Gardner finished the chase as Rockets reached 92/2 from 54 balls. Trent won by eight wickets with 46 balls remaining. The victory completed their title-winning campaign at Lord’s and gave them the women’s Hundred trophy.

The final showed a clear difference between the teams. Sunrisers reached only 91, scoring at exactly 1.00 run per ball, while Trent scored at 1.70 runs per ball in the chase. Rockets also reached 50 runs from 27 balls without a wicket, while Sunrisers took 44 balls to reach 50 after losing three wickets. That early pressure helped decide the contest. The Rockets’ bowlers kept attacking the stumps, while their batters played with freedom. Sunrisers never found a way to recover after their difficult opening phase.

Sunrisers Leeds reached the final after beating Southern Brave by five wickets in the Eliminator, but could not repeat it against Trent. Their final total included contributions from Sutherland and Gibson, but regular wickets stopped their progress. Trent made the most of their start and stayed in control. Their bowlers and openers set up a comfortable final victory. Sunrisers had reached the title match with confidence, but Trent’s disciplined bowling made it difficult for them to score freely.

Trent Rockets’ title capped a strong season and final performance. Georgia Adams’ two wickets for 9 runs earned Player of the Match, while Sutherland’s performances across the competition earned Player of the Series. Rockets restricted the defending champions to 91 and then chased it with 46 balls to spare. They finished the 2026 season as champions. It was a complete Trent performance on the biggest stage.
