6) Harmanpreet Kaur’s Heroic Knock

Who can forget the monster knock of India’s middle order batter Harmanpreet Kaur which changed the fortunes of Women’s Cricket in India. Unleashing the beast from within, she went hammer and tongs to send the bowlers on a leather hunt as she smashed 171* off just 115 balls during the 2nd semi-final match of WWC 2017. Her aggression was there for everyone to see, quite literally and all of that being transferred to the bat as she used it as a lethal weapon to end up the World Cup campaign for the Australian side.

7) World Cup Final Winning moment
Hold on!!! It was 23rd July 2017 and the event was 2017 WWC final. As soon as India’s last wicket fell, there was a wave of mixed emotions both on and off the field. What can be termed as THE BEST MOMENT OF THE YEAR, on one side there were tears of joy and euphoria while on the other, hearts bleeded. It was dream come true for Shrubsole, who wrote the English team’s winning script that day and a visibly heartbroken Indian unit fought hard to stop an outburst of emotions on the field.

8) Post World Cup fascination of Finalist Teams
Finalists of WWC 2017 got the well deserved fascination and recognition from across the globe. While the winners, England Women got the trophy, medals, winning teams prize money, Team of the Year awards and the grand celebrations by the home country; it was a dream run for the runner-up Indian team. The entire team and its member were showed with tons of awards and precious gifts. What may be termed as the best post match moment for each player was when PM Narendra Modi met and fascinated each one of them.

9) Deandra Dottin becomes 1st female cricketer to score two T20 centuries
West Indies batter Deandra Dottin in October 2017 notched up her 2nd T20 century while playing against Sri Lanka in 3rd T20I in Antigua and became the first women batter do reach the feat. During her unbeaten knock of 112 runs off just 67 balls, she hit 9 fours and 5 sixes and also claimed both Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament awards.

10) Ellyse Perry – Heart of Gold moment
In the on-going Women’s Big Bash League tournament, there came a moment which won all hearts. Aussie batter Ellyse Perry sending the ball for a six into the stands is nothing new; but what she did next, was an example of incredible gesture by the big hitter. Actually, it all happened in one of the WBBL match when Perry hit a six off the third ball of her innings and the ball ended up hitting a young boy watching the game. As soon as the player got to know this, she stopped the match and rushed towards him to ensure the kid received proper medical attention. Perry received a lot of applause from cricket lovers from across the world for her act.
