Spirit and Barmy Army having lost their respective Semi-Finals will now contest in the 3rd place playoff game at the Kowloon Cricket Club, Hong Kong on the 16th of April, at 7:30 AM Indian Standard Time (IST).

While Spirit against Warriors failed to defend their low total in a strong fightback which saw them make early inroads with the ball, the Barmy Army’s game against Falcons was just the opposite as Barmy Army failed to defend their competitive total in a run feast contest.

Sophia Dunkley

The 24-year-old English international in 34 Twenty20 International (T20I) innings has scored 652 runs at a strike rate of 117.68. In the ongoing FairBreak edition, Sophia started well with a 35 but failed to better her scores and in her previous couple of outings has managed starts. With the ball, Sophie has looked good with figures of 0/20, 3/26, 2/20, 0/29, and 3/16.

Mahika Gaur

The 17-year-old pacer from the United Arab Emirates in 19 T20Is has bagged 9 wickets at an economy rate of 5.15. In the games, this edition, Mahika has emerged as one of the best pacers having registered figures of 2/30, 0/11, 2/12, 0/20, 0/30, and 2/14, and with the bat too has contributed with a valuable 18 against Sapphires.

Deandra Dottin

The 31-year-old Caribbean all-rounder, in 127 T20Is has scored 2697 runs and has bagged 62 wickets. Featuring for the Barmy Army, Dottin didn’t have the best of starts but in her previous couple of innings has scored 69 and 42, while with the ball, she’s produced figures of 1/33, 0/17, 2/9, and 0/19.

Laura Cardoso

The 18-year-old Brazilian all-rounder, in 12 T20Is has bagged 11 wickets and has scored 100 runs with the highest score of 31*. Laura hasn’t been required with the bat a lot, except for an inning, and with the ball, has registered impressive figures of 0/5, 2/14, 0/40, 1/18, and 1/16.

Pitch:

The wicket at the Kowloon Cricket Club this time around is an evenly balanced one to a certain degree but continues to benefit the bowlers. While we’ve seen a few high-scoring innings, the tournament has brought to us many low-scoring thrillers.
