Hampshire women’s captain Georgia Adams has signed a new two-year deal that will keep her at the Utilita Bowl until 2028. The 32-year-old all-rounder has been an invaluable asset to the setup, having originally started playing for the regional Southern Vipers team at the venue in 2016. Adams has been Hampshire women’s captain since 2020, and the new agreement will keep her at the Utilita Bowl until 2028.
Adams is one of the most decorated players in the domestic game, having won six trophies during her time with the Vipers. She has also enjoyed extensive success in franchise cricket, winning The Hundred with the Oval Invincibles, Southern Brave, and Trent Rockets. “I absolutely love playing my cricket at Hampshire and Utilita Bowl,” Adams said. “This club is practically my home. As a club we have a great record in both formats of the game, we also have a reputation of developing players for both club and country. I’m delighted I can continue my career with Hampshire as we look to reach another 50-over final on our home ground come September.”
