Surrey have signed South Africa international all-rounder Suné Luus for the second half of their One-Day Cup campaign. The 30-year-old has made more than 240 international appearances, scoring almost 4,000 runs in white-ball cricket. Luus will bring her experience to Surrey as Surrey continue their campaign. Her signing gives Surrey an experienced all-rounder for the second half of the competition. She will now join the squad during the second half of the competition.

Luus has enjoyed a long international career with South Africa. In 2022, she was named captain of South Africa’s Test squad for their fixture against England in Taunton. The 30-year-old has also continued to play franchise cricket. She has experience in different competitions and will now return to domestic cricket in England with Surrey. Her international background will be valuable to the Surrey squad. Luus will now be part of the team for the second half of their One-Day Cup campaign.
The leg-spinner played for Brisbane Heat in 2018 and later won the inaugural Caribbean Premier League with Trinbago Knight Riders in 2022. Her franchise career has given her experience of playing in different competitions. Luus will now bring that experience to Surrey for the second half of their One-Day Cup campaign. She will add another experienced option to the squad. Surrey will hope she can make a useful contribution during the remainder of the competition.
Surrey are currently fourth in the One-Day Cup table, having won five and lost five of their opening 10 matches. Luus will now be part of the squad for the second half of the campaign. Her experience at the highest level and her all-round skills will give Surrey another option for the remaining matches. The team will look to build on its results and continue its campaign. Surrey will hope Luus can help them compete for silverware in the One-Day Cup.

I’m excited to link up with the squad and play domestic cricket in England once again. I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to contribute both on and off the field and hopefully help Surrey compete for silverware in the One-Day Cup.”

Luus will now be available to Surrey for the second half of the Metro Bank One-Day Cup.
