Melbourne Stars:
The only team in Women’s Big Bash League who has not qualified to finals till now. Compared to the previous seasons, there is a good couple of changes which have made the team stronger and well balanced.
Team news :
The biggest positive for Stars will be the signing of Elyse Villani. The star t20 batter of Australia will be playing for stars after a good time with Perth Scorchers. Not only she will be joining the squad and also will be taking the leadership duties.
Melbourne Stars have made their batting strong by adding Emma Inglis to the squad, who is also a fine hitter of the cricket ball. She has played her previous season with Renegades. The other domestic players like Erin Osborne and Alana king will add a lot of depth to the batting.
Overseas International – The Stars have some serious overseas batters in the form of Lizelle Lee, Mignon du Preez, and Katey Martin. All three are tailor-made for t20, especially Du Preez is in great touch and players like Lee can win you the matches single-handedly.
Coming to the bowling attack, Stars are more of a spin attack, which is lead by Erin Osborne and Kirsten Beams followed by Alana king. Annabel Sutherland and Holly Ferling will be looking after the fast bowling department.
On the whole, compared to the previous seasons, Stars look a much better side and they will be definitely eyeing for Championship this year.
