2nd playoff : Sarah Bryce and Rachel Hawkins shines for Scotland defeats Namibia by 10 Wickets

1) Sarah Bryce – The opener from Scotland had a good day with the bat as she scored an unbeaten 37* which helped Scotland to chase the target without any difficulties.

2) Rachel Hawkins – The young bowler from Scotland bowled one of the most economical spells of the tournament, she ended up with the figures of 2 for 9 in 4 overs at an economy rate under 2.5.

Summary:

A terrific display of bowling from bowlers, Scotland won the game against Namibia by 10 wickets at Arbroath on Thursday.

Winning the toss, Kathryn Bryce opted to field. Namibia batting first failed again to provide a good start as both the openers were dismissed in a quick session, even the other batters who followed them too failed to make a big impact with 15 being the top score. All the bowlers were excellent especially experienced Kathryn Bryce was impressive again picking 2 for 6 and even Rachel Hawkins picking 2 for 9. Namibia ended up with a below-par target of 67 All-out in 17.4 overs.

Chasing the target, Scotland dominated completely as their openers took the responsibility of the chase without losing any wicket. Both the openers were dominating the Namibian bowlers from the ball number one as they scored 37 and 25  respectively. With the help of aggressive innings from openers, Scotland chased the target of 68 in just 8.4 overs. On the whole, It was completely a one-sided game.

Brief Score: Namibia 67 All-out ( Irene Van Zyl 15, Hawkins 2 for 9) lost to Scotland 68 for 0( S.Bryce 37 & Jack 25) by 10 wickets.
