Players to watch out:
Fi Morris
The 30-year-old all-rounder in the 2024 RHFT season, from 9 outings, has taken 7 wickets and from 8 innings has posted 178 runs on the board, registering bests of 2/47 and 89. On RHFT return, following a decent T20 season, Fi scored a solid 37 in her most recent outing with the bat, while she has returned bowling figures of 2/47, 2/56, and 0/13. She can be counted on for the goods.
Hannah Jones
The 25-year-old left-arm off-spinner has scalped 18 wickets from 9 outings, at an average of 21.22 and an economy rate of 4.65, while also being handy with the bat this RHFT season. Hannah had a brief T20 stint without finding much success; however, she picked up her RHFT campaign from where she left off, producing figures of 4/50, 3/56, and 1/36, and it is hoped she extends this patch.
Charli Knott
The 21-year-old all-rounder, from 9 outings in the ongoing RHFT edition, has amassed 346 runs and bagged 16 wickets, with bests being 102 and 3/35. Throughout the summer, Charli has been consistent both with the bat and ball, and while her recent RHFT returns read 1/22, 3/63, and 2/19, she also has added scores of 22, 8, and 57*, and will be relied upon for all-round efforts.
Mary Taylor
The 19-year-old pacer, maintaining an economy rate of 5.14, has picked up 9 wickets from as many RHFT appearances this summer. Mary didn’t claim many wickets in the 1st leg RHFT fixtures and the T20 games; however, come the 2nd leg RHFT fixtures, she has registered figures of 3/32, 3/32 (season-best), and 1/12, and should be backed to capitalize on this return to form.
Pitch:
The 22-yard strip at Sedbergh School is relatively balanced with an average score in the 230s. While conditions are conducive for batting, the wicket also offers assistance to both pacers and spinners, as reflected in the healthy average score.
Weather:
With scattered showers on the radar, especially in the latter stages of the game, expect rain delays and interruptions if the skies don’t clear. The temperature is expected to hover around 14°C, with light winds and humidity at 88%.
Fantasy playing XI:
Seren Smale, Emma Lamb, Ella McCaughan, Georgia Elwiss, Charli Knott, Georgia Adams, Fi Morris, Linsey Smith, Hannah Jones, Mary Taylor, Alice Monaghan
