Gisele Ishimwe:
The captain of Rwanda Women’s U19 bagged the player of the match award in her last appearance against Zimbabwe Women’s U19. The right-handed top-order batter smashed 34 off 23, including five hits to the fence. She also scalped 14/1 in four overs, including one maiden, with her right-arm medium-pace.
Henriette Ishimwe:
The right-arm pace sensation of Rwanda Women’s U19 had a fantastic outing against Zimbabwe in her last match. She picked up four wickets in four consecutive balls to rattle the opposition. She has lethal yorkers in her repertoire. Besides, she is a handy middle-order batter.
Seren Smale:
The wicket-keeper and right-handed batter of England Women’s U19 starred with the bat in her last outing against Pakistan Women’s U19. Batting at number five, she muscled 37 off 33, peppering the boundary rope six times. She won the player of the match award for her brilliant batting performance.
Sophia Smale:
The wily left-arm spinner of England Women’s U19 was the pick of the bowlers in the last fixture against Pakistan Women’s U19. She came into bowl as the first change and claimed 10/2 in three overs. She bowled well with the new ball and was also effective in the death overs.
Pitch
It will be the fifth game of the competition at this venue. Out of the four matches played here till January 18, the teams batting first have won three, and the teams batting second have won one. The average first innings score is 124, and the average second innings score is 94. Batting here has not been that easy. Expect an exciting contest between bat and ball.
