After the four-match ODI series, Netherlands and Thailand will lock horns against each other for a four-match T20I series from November 29 to December 3. In the ODI series, Thailand clean swept the visitors, 4-0. Playing their first-ever ODI series, the Thailand team looked comfortable in the 50-over format as they shocked the Netherlands, who have been playing ODIs since 1984.

Players to watch

Iris Zwilling: 

She is one of the best all-rounders in the Netherlands team. The right-handed batter and right-arm medium-pace bowler has featured in 27 T20Is. She has scored 109 runs in 16 innings and has 27 wickets in as many innings. This bowling all-rounder will be the key to her side’s success.

Sterre Kalis: 

This right-handed top-order batter of the Netherlands will be a player to watch out for. She has 670 runs in 22 T20Is at a stellar average of 34. She is a prolific batter with a couple of half-centuries and a century to her name. Besides her batting, she can roll her arm over to bowl right-arm medium-pace and has four wickets in as many innings.

Natthakan Chantham: 

The right-handed opening batter of Thailand is a talented cricketer with 1165 runs in 55 T20Is, including six half-centuries. She is the leading run-getter for Thailand in women’s T20Is. She has a healthy average of 26 and will be required to give a good start to her team with the bat.

Sornnarin Tippoch: 

She is one of the most experienced players in the Thailand team. With 57 T20Is under her belt, the right-arm off-spinner has 46 wickets, including a couple of four-wicket hauls. Apart from her bowling, she can be handy with the bat. The southpaw has 305 runs, including the best of 37 not out.

Pitch

It will be the tournament’s fourth game at the venue, with three ODIs being played before. Out of the three fixtures played here, the teams batting first have won two, and the teams batting second have won one. The wicket is expected to be on the slower side. With a thick cloud cover, the fast bowlers may get some assistance.

The weather is expected to be mostly cloudy and humid with widely separate thunderstorms. The highest temperature attained during the day will be 31 degrees Celsius. There will be an 85 percent cloud cover and a 40 percent chance of rain. The wind will blow from the southeast.
