Complete Squad for Women’s Hundred 2022 Announced

On April 5, the eight squads for the Hundred Women’s competition were announced. This year, the second edition of the tournament will be played from August 11 to September 3 across seven cities, including London, Southampton, Manchester, Cardiff, Leeds, Birmingham, and Nottingham.

 

 

Every team will see a squad of 15. So far, only Welsh Fire have declared their complete squad. The remaining seven teams, namely, London Spirit, Manchester Originals, Northern Superchargers, Oval Invincibles, Trent Rockets, Birmingham Phoenix and Southern Brave have time until June 30 to sign their players on an open market basis. At the start of June, there will also be an Overseas Wildcard Draft.

Players from Australia, India, New Zealand, South Africa, and West Indies have been signed up for the tournament. They are the overseas players. So far, 24 overseas players have been confirmed. Australia have the maximum participation with 11 players, followed by South Africa with six players. Due to their busy international calendar, Australian players could not be a part of the Hundred last year. Apart from these, there are three players from New Zealand and two players each from India and West Indies.
