The Women’s Senior One Day Tournament saw nine matches being played on Saturday. In this article, we will have a quick look at all nine fixtures.
Jharkhand vs Chhattisgarh
Jharkhand took on Chhattisgarh in round five of the Elite Group A. Batting first, Chhattisgarh scored 174-8 in 50 overs. In reply, Jharkhand cruised to a victory in 31.2 overs, with five wickets to spare. The top performers in the match were Shivani Krishna (56 runs) and Ritu Meshram (2-47 in 8 overs) from Chhattisgarh and Indrani Roy (103 not out) and Mamta Paswan (2-20 in 10 overs) from Jharkhand.
Odisha vs Gujarat
In the same group, Odisha locked horns with Gujarat. Batting first, Gujarat was bundled out for 70 in 29.2 overs. In reply, Odisha chased down the target in 23 overs, winning the match by six wickets. The top performers in the match were Simran (17 runs) and Muskan Vasava (2-7 in 3 overs) from Gujarat and Sushree Dibyadarshini (34 not out) and Rameswari Naik (6-26 in 10 overs) from Odisha.
Tripura vs Hyderabad
The third match of the day in Elite Group A was played between Tripura and Hyderabad. Batting first, Tripura made 239-5 in 50 overs, and in reply, Hyderabad fought tooth and nail only to lose by 18 runs. The top performers of the match were R R Saha (83 not out) and N N Debnath (3-39 in 10 overs) from Tripura and Mamtha Kanojia (83 runs) and Shravani Bhogi (1-41 in 10 overs) from Hyderabad.
Railways vs Assam
In the fifth round of Elite Group B, Railways and Assam clashed against each other. Batting first, Assam was bowled out for 133 in 47.5 overs and in reply, Railways overhauled the target with ease in 29.2 overs, winning the match by nine wickets. The top performers in the match were Gayatri Gurung (31 runs) and Mousumi Narah (1-33 in 8 overs) from Assam and M D Thirushkamini (62 not out) and Ekta Bisht (4-13 in 9 overs) from Railways.
Saurashtra vs Uttarakhand
In another match in Elite Group B, Saurashtra took on Uttarakhand. Batting first, Uttarakhand piled up 151-8 in 50 overs, and in reply, Saurashtra crossed the line in 47.1 overs, winning the match by four wickets. The top performers in the match were A N Tomar (25 runs and 2-27 in 9.1 overs) and Radha Chand (1-23 in 10 overs) from Uttarakhand and M Jadeja (42 runs) and R B Dabhi (2-24 in 10 overs) from Saurashtra.
Bengal vs Haryana
In the same group, Bengal and Haryana locked horns against each other. Riding on P P Paul’s stellar 63, Bengal posted 259-8 in 50 overs. In reply, Haryana could only manage 169-9 in 50 overs, losing the match by 90 runs. The top performers in the match were P P Paul (63 runs) and Gouher Sultana (2-27 in 10 overs) from Bengal and Bhawna Ohlan (101 not out) and Shweta Sharma (3-36 in 10 overs) from Haryana.
Andhra Pradesh vs Goa
In the fifth round of Elite Group C, Andhra Pradesh and Goa clashed against each other. Batting first, Andhra Pradesh put up 248-4 in 50 overs. In reply, Goa was bowled out for 145 in 42.3 overs, losing the match by 103 runs. The top performers in the match were C H Jhansi Lakshmi (100 not out) and B Anusha (3-25 in 8 overs) from Andhra Pradesh and Shikha Pandey (44 runs and 2-55 in 10 overs) and Nikita (1-15 in 7 overs) from Goa.
Maharashtra vs Chandigarh
Another match in the Elite Group C was played between Maharashtra and Chandigarh. Batting first, Maharashtra posted 212-6 in 50 overs. In reply, Chandigarh chased down the score in 49.2 overs, winning the match by three wickets. The top performers in the match were S A Lonkar (47 runs) and Mukta Magre (1-29 in 10 overs) from Maharashtra and Amanjot Kaur (110 not out) and P Guleria (2-24 in 7 overs) from Chandigarh.
Uttar Pradesh vs Rajasthan
In the same group, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan faced off against each other. Batting first, Uttar Pradesh scored 268-5 in 50 overs, and in reply, Rajasthan could only manage 133 in 47.1 overs, losing the match by 135 runs. The top performers in the match were Muskan Malik (114 runs), Aditi (114 runs and 1-27 in 10 overs), and Anjali Singh (2-19 in 10 overs) from Uttar Pradesh and S R Jat (41 runs) and B R Meena (2-39 in 10 overs) from Rajasthan.
