The Women’s Senior One Day Tournament saw a dozen matches being played on Sunday. In this article, we will have a quick look at all the 12 fixtures.
Hyderabad vs Odisha
Hyderabad took on Odisha in round two of the Elite Group A. Batting first, Hyderabad was all out for 159 in 46.5 overs. In reply, Odisha cruised to a victory in 42.3 overs, with nine wickets to spare. The top performers in the match were Mamtha Kanojia (34 runs) from Hyderabad and Madhuri Mehta (60 not out), Sarita Meher (61 not out), Sushree Dibyadarshini (4-34 in 8.5 overs), and Madhusmita Behera (3-37 in 10 overs) from Odisha.
Jharkhand vs Tripura
In the same group, Jharkhand locked horns with Tripura. Batting first, Jharkhand scored 218-8 in 50 overs. In reply, Tripura was all out for 149, losing the match by 69 runs. The top performers in the match were Sonia (62 runs), Ashwani (50 runs), Indrani Roy (49 runs) and Durga Murmu (3-28 in 10 overs) from Jharkhand and A B Das (26 runs), P A Acharjee (2-37 in 10 overs) and Suravi Roy (2-22 in 10 overs) from Tripura.
Chhattisgarh vs Gujarat
The third match of the day in Elite Group A was played between Chhattisgarh and Gujarat. Batting first, Gujarat made 190-7 in 50 overs, and in reply, Chhattisgarh was reduced to 134-9, thus falling short of 56 runs. The top performers of the match were Simran (50 runs), Sarvi (40 runs), and Bhavana Goplani (68 runs) from Gujarat, and Yashi Pandey (64 runs) from Chhattisgarh.
Uttarakhand vs Railways
In the second round of Elite Group B, Railways and Uttarakhand clashed against each other. Batting first, Uttarakhand was bowled out for a paltry 72 in 32.5 overs and in reply, Railways completed the formalities in just 15.5 overs, winning the match by eight wickets. The top performers in the match were A N Tomar (26 runs) and Radha Chand (2-19 in 5 overs) from Uttarakhand and Asha S (25 not out) and Swagatika Rath (3-13 in 4.5 overs) from Railways.
Saurashtra vs Bengal
In another match in Elite Group B, Bengal took on Saurashtra. Batting first, Saurashtra piled up 144-8 in 50 overs and in reply, Bengal overhauled the target with ease in 37.2 overs, winning the match by four wickets. The top performers in the match were Jayu Jadeja (55 runs) from Saurashtra and Rumeli Dhar (35 runs) and Jhumia Khatun (5-20 in 7 overs) from Bengal.
Haryana vs Assam
In the same group, Haryana and Assam locked horns with each other. Riding on twin centuries from Bhawna Ohlan and Sheetal Rana, Haryana posted 248-1 in 50 overs. In reply, Assam was bowled out for 149 in 39.2 overs, losing the match by 99 runs. The top performers in the match were Bhawna Ohlan (100 not out), Sheetal Rana (128 not out), Suman Gulia (3-27 in 6.2 overs) and Priyanka Sharma (3-42 in 10 overs) from Haryana and Monikha Das (42 runs) from Assam.
Andhra Pradesh vs Chandigarh
In the second round of Elite Group C, Andhra Pradesh and Chandigarh clashed against each other. Batting first, Chandigarh put up 175-6 in 50 overs. In reply, Andhra Pradesh attained the target in 46.1 overs, winning the match by five wickets. The top performers in the match were Amanjot Kaur (50 runs) from Chandigarh and N Anusha (55 runs) and V Pushpa Latha (58 runs) from Andhra Pradesh.
Maharashtra vs Uttar Pradesh
Another match in the Elite Group C was played between Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. Batting first, Uttar Pradesh posted 200-4 in 50 overs. In reply, Maharashtra was all out for 187 in 49 overs, losing the match by 13 runs. The top performers in the match were Nishu Choudhary (51 runs) and Muskan Malik (43 runs) from Uttar Pradesh and S A Lonkar (59 runs) from Maharashtra.
Goa vs Rajasthan
In the same group, Goa and Rajasthan locked horns against each other. Batting first, Rajasthan was all out for 91 in 32.2 overs and in reply, Goa chased down the target in 29.5 overs, winning the match by six wickets. The top performers in the match were P B Sharma (50 runs) and R Meena (2-21 in 7.5 overs) from Rajasthan and Shikha Pandey (35 not out) and Sunanda (5-22 in 10 overs) from Goa.
Pondicherry vs Sikkim
In round three of Plate Group, Pondicherry took on Sikkim. Batting first, Sikkim was done and dusted for a miserly sum of 67 in 36.2 overs. In reply, Pondicherry ran away with the game in just 16.4 overs, registering a nine-wicket win. The top performers in the match were Rinki Rajak (26 runs) from Sikkim and Bhakti Tamore (31 not out) and Amruta Saran (5-11 in 8 overs) from Pondicherry.
Jammu Kashmir vs Mizoram
Another match in the Plate Group was played between Mizoram and Jammu Kashmir. Batting first, Mizoram posted 180-9 in 50 overs. In reply, Jammu Kashmir was restricted to 153-9, falling shy of 27 runs. The top performers in the match were Ruchita Buley (52 runs) from Mizoram and Bismah Hasan (36 runs and 4-25 in 10 overs) from Jammu Kashmir.
Arunachal Pradesh vs Bihar
In the same group, Bihar and Arunachal Pradesh locked horns against each other. Batting first, Bihar was all out for 129 in 41.4 overs and in reply, Arunachal Pradesh could only manage 65, losing the match by 64 runs. The top performers in the match were Apurva Kumari (29 runs) and Shraddha (3-19 in 10 overs) from Bihar and Nabam Yapu (28 runs) and S Ligu (3-14 in 5.4 overs) from Arunachal Pradesh.
