Having lost two games in the league, the Trinbago Knight Riders need back-to-back wins in the tournament to stay alive and hold contention for the finals. The 4th contest at The 6ixty saw skipper, Deandra Dottin led the way for the team and was joined by Sune Luus who guided the team to a competitive total of 92/3 (10 overs), the two just at the close of innings were run out on scores of 46(34) and 25(17).
Geetika Kodali strikes 3 wickets in 2 balls
Barbados Royals in reply saw Geetika Kodali come on to bowl the 2nd over and created instant impact dismissing the Royals skipper Hayley Matthews on 2(3) as a leading edge was well taken by Sheneta Grimmond at point. She then got on through Britney Cooper to hand her a golden duck and claimed her hat-trick with a ball going down the leg that was very cleanly taken by Kycia Knight and then was quick enough to disturb the furniture in time as Chloe Tryon trying to flick one down leg was just outside the crease.

Who is Geetika Kodali?
The game famously will be known for Geetika Kodali, the heroics of the 18-year-old that have her side stay alive and remain in contention for a ticket to the finals. The August of 2022 has only gone from good to better for the 18-y/o as she earlier this month had captained the United States of America (USA) Under-19 team to a 4-1 series win over the West Indies Under-19 in a 5-match T20I series.
Geetika Kodali made her Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for the USA on the 19th of May 2019, against Canada in the 2019 ICC Women’s Americas Qualifier. Months later, in August 2019, she was named in the United States squad for the 2019 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament that was played in Scotland where she played in the United States’ final match of the tournament against Namibia.

In October 2021, she was named in the American team for the 2021 Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament in Zimbabwe.
Geetika has had baby steps now taken in international cricket which see her as a regular feature wherever the team is traveling.
