The seventh match of the 2021 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier will be played on October 22 between Argentina and Canada at Reforma Athletic Club, Naucalpan, Mexico. While Argentina have lost all the three matches that they have played so far, Canada has managed to win just one out of the three games.

Players to watch out for

Costanza Sosa:

Taking the new ball against the USA in her last match, the right arm quick picked up 3-19 in her three overs. She was one of the two leading wicket-takers for Argentina in that match.

Alison Stocks:

This right arm speedster was the other leading wicket-taker for Argentina in the match against the USA. She struck with 3-13 in her four overs, including one maiden over.

Sonali Vig:

The right hand middle order bat was one of the top scorers in the previous match which Canada played against Brazil. She scored 13 runs off 33 balls. With the ball, the right arm off spinner scalped 1-9 in her four overs.

Hala Azmat:

The right arm seamer was the pick of the bowlers for Canada in their previous match against Brazil. She accounted for 2-8 in her four overs.

The weather looks good throughout the course of the match. It is expected to be sunny with a bleak chance of thunderstorm in the afternoon (CST). The temperature will range between 20 degrees Celsius in the morning (CST) to 23 degrees Celsius in the afternoon (CST).


Teams batting second have been more successful in the competition so far, winning four out of the six matches. While the pitch is good for batting, it aids the bowlers too. The quick bowlers have been more effective than their spin counterparts at this venue.
