Cricket South Africa will host Zimbabwe Women for a five-match T20 series that will be played from August 28 to September 3. All the matches will be played at the Caledonian Stadium in Pretoria and will start at 1.30 PM IST.
South Africa Emerging and Zimbabwe Women met last time in May 2021 when the latter hosted the former. In that five-match series, South Africa Emerging clean swept Zimbabwe Women 5-0. It will be interesting to see whether Zimbabwe redeem themselves in this series or South Africa Emerging continue to dominate them.

Players to watch out for
Anneke Bosch:
She is a talented all-rounder from South Africa, who has been playing international cricket since 2016. In her 15 T20Is, she has muscled 348 runs, including two half-centuries and has eight wickets to her name. Apart from playing for South Africa, she has been a part of Brisbane Heat in the WBBL.
Elandri Janse Van Rensburg:
She is a right-handed batter and a right-arm off-spinner who will feature for South Africa Emerging. In the past, she has represented Boland and Northerns U15 in domestic competitions.
Mary-Anne Musonda:
She is a right-handed batter from Zimbabwe, who has played 27 T20Is. She has mustered 394 runs in 23 innings, including two half-centuries. She has a healthy average of 25 and a strike rate of 106. Also, she is the only cricketer from Zimbabwe to register a century in women’s international cricket.
Josephine Nkomo:
The captain of Zimbabwe is a right-handed batter and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. She has featured in 26 T20Is since her international debut in 2019. She has scored 281 runs, including the best of 56 not out and with the ball, she has scalped 23 wickets, including a couple of four-wicket hauls.
Pitch
This will be the first match of the series at the venue. Expect a fresh and hard surface that will offer plenty of runs. Bright and sunny conditions will make batting easy. On the other hand, the bowlers will have to make good use of the new ball and extract some purchase from the pitch.

The weather is expected to be comfortable with plenty of sun. The maximum temperature attained during the day could be 26 degrees Celsius. There will be no cloud cover and there is no chance of rain. The wind will blow from the north-northwest.
