Nicole’s playing career saw her represent Australia in 50 ODIs, three Tests and a couple of T20Is. She was a part of the legendary Australian women’s team under Meg Lanning’s leadership. Following an emotional farewell in the Women’s Big Bash League final playing for Sydney Sixers, she retired from all formats of the game in November 2022.

Since then, she has proved her abilities in mentorship having held assistant coaching roles with the Adelaide Strikers in the Women’s Big Bash League and South Australia’s women’s team. This experience will be invaluable for Mumbai Indians as they aim for success in the upcoming season.

Mumbai had a stellar start to the WPL as they clinched the title in the inaugural season in 2023. However, in the 2024 edition, they fell short, as they were knocked out by RCB in the eliminator.

Determined to bounce back and secure their second title, they have added fresh talent and experienced leadership to their team. At the WPL 2025 auction, Mumbai Indians strengthened their squad by adding South African all-rounder Nadine de Klerk and U19 sensation G Kamalini.

This year’s WPL edition kicks off with an exciting opening match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Giants. Mumbai Indians will begin their campaign with an encounter against Delhi Capitals on 15th February 2025 in Vadodara.
