Another thrilling season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) concluded with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) emerging as the new champions. Amongst the many noteworthy innings, cameos, and spells, let’s revisit the top five performances from the recently concluded 02 season.

Harmanpreet Kaur 95*(48) vs Gujarat Giants

In a thrilling encounter between Mumbai Indians and the Gujarat Giants in match 16 of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024, Harmanpreet Kaur emerged as the hero of the hour. With an exceptional display of power-hitting, Kaur’s innings of 95 runs off just 48 balls turned the tide in Mumbai’s favour. Ellyse Perry 6/15 vs Mumbai Indians

In match 19 of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024, RCB clashed with Mumbai Indians in a high-stakes encounter. Mumbai had a strong start, losing just one wicket in the powerplay while tallying around 40 runs. Sensing the urgency to break their momentum, RCB captain Smriti Mandhana brought on Ellyse Perry to provide a breakthrough. In match 15 of the Women’s Premier League, the UP Warriorz clashed with the Delhi Capitals, clinching victory, courtesy of Deepti Sharma’s exceptional all-round performance. Sharma’s 59 runs off 48 balls set a solid foundation, while her remarkable bowling figures of 4/19 dismantled the Delhi Capitals’ batting lineup. With precision and skill, Sharma showcased her ability to excel in both departments of the game, ultimately leading her team to a crucial win. Her exploits with the ball also included a hat trick, as she became the first Indian to achieve the feat and 2nd overall in the tournament’s brief history. Beth Mooney 85* (51) vs Royal Challengers Bangalore

In match 13 of the WPL 2024, Beth Mooney’s spectacular unbeaten innings of 85 runs off 51 balls proved pivotal for the Gujarat team against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Mooney’s innings, embellished with 12 boundaries and a towering six, showcased her mastery and dominance with the bat. Despite her outstanding performance, the Royal Challengers Bangalore fell short as Gujarat secured a 19-run victory.
