Bio:

Kiran Navgire’s journey from a small background to cricketing success is a result of her perseverance and talent, raised in a farming family with two brothers she initially pursued athletics and also excelled in javelin throw, shot put, and the 100 meters before transitioning to cricket. Her university days at Savitribai Phule Pune University marked the beginning of her cricketing career where she played without formal training, seeking to improve she enrolled in formal training at Azam campus, Pune.

In her domestic career, Kiran started with Maharashtra but later joined Nagaland as a guest player where she made history with a stunning 162 off 76 balls becoming the first Indian to score 150 runs in a twenty 20 inning, her potential caught the eye of the team velocity in the women’s T20 challenge where she set a record with the fastest fifty in the tournament despite facing challenges including a disappointing performance in the finals Kiran’s talent earned her a spot in the Indian women’s team for the T20 International series against England with impressive statistics in T20 cricket including 813 runs from 38 matches with one hundred and five fifties and a remarkable strike rate of 153.97.

Kiran established herself as a power hitter for the UP Warriorz in 2023 with one fifty against GG, her ability to overcome obstacles and consistently perform at a high level highlights her promising future in cricket.
