Delhi top table and qualify after winning last ball thriller, hang RCB’s qualification hope still hanging. In the 17th match of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 between the Delhi Capitals and the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, the former once again had a last-ball finish in the tournament and finally ended on the right side, unlike the last 2 times.
To start from the coin toss, Meg Lanning won the toss and elected to bat first as has been the trend in the Delhi leg. Delhi had a good start in the powerplay with 53 runs on the scoreboard for the loss of 1 wicket. It was once again a Jemimah Rodrigues and Alice Capsey show in the middle, with Jemimah notching up a quickfire fifty, her 2nd in the WPL, and also completing 300 runs in the competition, alongside Alice Capsey, who completed 200 runs in WPL 2024.
