Bollywood Stars hit the stage on fire in the opening ceremony of the WPL 2024

A total of 6 Bollywood stars performed in the opening ceremony of the WPL 2024 including Kartik Aaryan, Siddharth Malhotra, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Tiger Shroff representing each of the 5 teams, and Shahrukh Khan at the end to close out the ceremony with his elegance.

Kartik Aaryan who represented Gujarat Giants of the 5 teams in the WPL started off the opening ceremony with an amazing performance on songs like ‘Dheeme Dheeme’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ Title Track, ‘Coca Cola’. The crowd was fully charged up with the start of the ceremony from Kartik Aaryan.

He was followed by the performance of Siddharth Malhotra who was representing Delhi Capitals and performed on ‘Kukkad’, ‘Raatan Lambiyaan’, and ‘Kaala Chashma’. His performance added to the energy in the crowd.

Next up to perform was Tiger Shroff representing Royal Challengers Bangalore who performed on songs like ‘Whistle Baja’, and ‘Ghungroo’ and made the crowd stand on their toes.

Varun Dhawan the next performer representing UP Warriorz danced on songs like ‘Apna Bana Le’, ‘Palat’, ‘Besharmi ki Height’, and ‘Muqabala’.

Shahid Kapoor was the last to perform of the 5 teams, representing Mumbai Indians, and performed on ‘Nagada Nagada’, ‘Shaam Shaandar’, ‘Dhating Naach’, and ‘Laal Peeli Ankhiyan’.

To finish off the amazing opening ceremony Shahrukh Khan performed his famous songs like ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan.’ He did a crowd-attracting performance, and later, he welcomed all the captains on the stage and the BCCI officials alongside them.

Former Australia skipper Lisa Sthalekar took to X (formerly Twitter) to laud BCCI’s effort behind a glittery and glitzy opening ceremony. She wrote, “Congrats to @BCCI for a wonderful opening ceremony. My favorite moment was @iamsrk talking about the @wplt20 and then introducing the captains. He went one step further and had a small interaction with each of them.”
