The Delhi Capitals led by skipper Meg Lanning eventually ended up on the wrong end of a historic WPL final as Mumbai Indians were crowned as the Inaugural champions courtesy of their 7-wicket victory in the ultimate title clash.

The 19-year-old pacer from West Bengal is a player to watch out for. She has displayed some impressive performances after making her international debut on 24th September 2023 at the Asian Games in a T20I against Bangladesh. She returned with exceptional match figures (4-1-6-3) in the final against Sri Lanka and was awarded the Player of the Match playing a crucial role in helping India clinch the gold medal at the Asian Games in China. She has picked up 8 wickets in 7 innings so far in the T20I format for India. Her best performance with the ball came on 5th January 2024 in the 1st T20I against Australia.

She also played a crucial role with the ball in the inaugural edition of the ICC Women’s Under-19 World Cup in South Africa. She picked up 6 wickets with the ball in 6 innings. She returned with exceptional match figures (4-0-6-2) in the World Cup final against England. She was awarded the Player of the Match for her match-winning performance with the ball helping India clinch the inaugural ICC Women’s Under-19 World Cup title.
