Bio:
Lea Tahuhu made her T20I on 25 June 2011 against India. Since then she has taken 78 wickets in 79 innings with a 19.05 average and a 6.20 economy rate, including two 4-fers. She made her ODI debut on 14 June 2011 against Australia. She has a total of 109 wickets in 92 innings with 4.50 economy including three 4-fer and 5-fer.
In the Women’s Super Smash 2023-24 season, she showcased her bowling prowess with 10 wickets in just 8 matches, with an impressive average of 16 and an economy rate of 5.51. She has proven to be a valuable asset to her team. Her ability to deliver under pressure highlights her skill and determination as a bowler.
For this year’s WPL 2024 season, Lea Tahuhu’s inclusion came as a replacement for Lauren Cheatle, who was picked at the auction by Gujarat Giants, but had a withdraw following a cancer procedure. Lea has an opportunity to showcase her talent after initially going unsold in the auction.
