Bio:

Shreyanka Patil represents Karnataka in domestic cricket and plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore Women in the Women’s Premier League additionally she is the first Indian to play in the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) where she represents the Guyana Amazon Warriors.

Patil commenced her domestic career with Karnataka in October 2019, her talent shone in November 2022 when she delivered an exceptional spell of 4 wickets against 7 runs from four overs for South Zone against North-East Zone in 2022/23- Women’s senior inter zonal T20 trophy in January 2023. She exhibited her batting prowess by scoring her maiden list half-century with a total score of 73 against Arunachal Pradesh.

Her skills earned recognition beyond domestic cricket when she was signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore for the inaugural WPL in February 2023 where she made her mark by taking 6 wickets in 7 innings, with her best being 2/17 against Gujrat Giants. She also played her part with the bat by getting 62 runs in 7 matches. Patil continued to make strides in her career by securing a contract with Guyana Amazon Warriors for the 2023 WCPL where she emerged as the leading wicket-taker with 9 wickets at an impressive average of 11.66.

Patil’s international journey began in June 2023 when she represented India ‘A’ at the 2023 ACC Women’s T20 emerging teams Asia Cup finishing as the tournament’s leading wicket-taker with 9 wickets, her standout performances including a remarkable 5/2 against Hong Kong and 4/13 in the final against Bangladesh ‘A’ caught the attention of selectors leading to her inclusion in the India squad for series against England and Australia. In the Senior Women’s Inter zonal T20 Trophy 2023-24, she picked up 8 wickets in 5 innings including a 4-fer with a 5.20 economy. She made her international debut in both WT20I and WODI in December 2023, she has already made her mark with 8 wickets in 6 innings. Notably, her outstanding performance against England on December 10, 2023, where she claimed 3 wickets for 19 runs, Additionally, her exceptional fielding prowess was highlighted as she took two catches in the same game, earning herself the Player of the Match title. This achievement further signals a promising start to her international career.
