Gouher Sultana debuted in T20I (cap 15) on 28 October 2008 against Australia, since then she has picked up 29 wickets in 37 innings with a 5.73 economy in her T20I. She holds the record for the highest-ever 10th wicket partnership of 58 runs in Women’s ODI with Amita Sharma vs England.
She has represented different teams like Hyderabad, Puducherry, Railways, and Bengal in the Domestic Tournament. There were some notable performances by her, In the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy 2019-2020 edition, she was the joint third leading wicket-taker with 9 wickets in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy in 2019-20.
In this year’s Senior Women’s T20 Trophey Gouher took 8 wickets in 6 innings at a 4.10 economy.
Gouher was acquired for a base price of 30 Lakhs in the Tata WPL 2024 auction by the UP Warriorz. She brings a lot of experience along with her as she is one of the seasoned players in the tournament, and her ability to contribute runs lower down the order adds depth to the batting lineup.
