ICC Launches ‘Will to Win’ Campaign Ahead of Women’s World Cup 2025 in India and Sri Lanka

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled its flagship ‘Will to Win’ campaign film alongside the release of additional tickets for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, marking a major build-up to the sport’s biggest women’s event.

With the tournament set to return to India after 12 years, co-hosted with Sri Lanka, the campaign celebrates stories of perseverance, early sacrifices, and the relentless drive to succeed that define some of the world’s foremost women cricketers.

The ‘Will to Win’ film highlights icons from across the participating nations, including India’s vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu, Australia’s Ellyse Perry, South Africa’s Marizanne Kapp, Pakistan’s Muneeba Ali, Bangladesh’s Nigar Sultana Joty, New Zealand’s Melie Kerr, and England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt.

Each features in an emotionally charged narrative that moves between their present-day acclaim and their formative aspirations. The campaign aims to position these stars not only as athletes but as symbols of persistence and inspiration.

Describing the thought behind the initiative, ICC Chairman Jay Shah stressed the campaign’s role in capturing the very essence of women’s cricket. “With the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup returning to India after 12 years, and given India’s leadership in championing the women’s game, the ‘Will to Win’ campaign has been thoughtfully crafted to reflect the remarkable spirit of women’s cricket through powerful, purpose-driven storytelling,” Shah said.

He further added, “This campaign is not just a showcase of world-class talent; it is a tribute to the journeys, sacrifices, and aspirations that define the women’s game. Coinciding with the film’s release, ICC also opened the general window for ticket sales at 8 PM IST on Tuesday, 9 September, available via Tickets.cricketworldcup.com. This move ensures more fans worldwide can book their place in history as women’s cricket reaches a defining stage.

The 13th edition of the Women’s Cricket World Cup, beginning on 30 September, is set to be staged across five venues in India and Sri Lanka. The high-voltage opener at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati, will feature co-hosts India and Sri Lanka, while the grand finale is scheduled for 2 November 2025.

Marking a new era for the sport, the tournament promises record-breaking attendance, wider global reach, and unprecedented visibility for women’s cricket.
