The ICC has officially unveiled the schedule for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 — and it’s set to be a blockbuster.
India, the host nation, will kick things off against Sri Lanka at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati on 30th September, with the first ball scheduled for 3:00 PM local time.

The action continues as defending champions Australia begin their title defense against arch-rivals New Zealand on 1st October in Indore. Meanwhile, Bangladesh and Pakistan will face off the following day in Colombo. Guwahati will return to the spotlight on 3rd October when 2022 finalists England take on South Africa in what promises to be another high-voltage clash.
Sharing his thoughts, ICC Chairman Jay Shah said,
“With the schedule now confirmed, the excitement around the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 only grows stronger.
India will welcome the world’s top eight teams to some of our most iconic venues, and we’re expecting electric crowds and unforgettable moments throughout the tournament.”

The stage is set for fierce competition from September 30 to 2nd November 2025. But beyond the boundary lines, the 2025 World Cup already stands distinct, thanks to a hybrid model that will witness all of Pakistan’s matches played at neutral venues in Colombo, the result of a carefully brokered agreement between the BCCI and PCB.
