However, Fatima (2/10) provided a prized wicket early on, and her bowlers capitalized on the momentum, with Omaima (2/17) taking a couple of wickets early in her spell. Nashra Sandhu (2/15) and Sadia Iqbal (3/17) then ripped through the middle and lower order, restricting Sri Lanka to 85/9 and securing an unlikely win by a confident 31-run margin.

Head-to-head, India holds a comfortable lead over Pakistan with 12 wins from 15 T20Is. Their most recent loss dates back to the Asia Cup in October 2022. Notably, the margins of India’s losses in those three games were just 1 run, 2 runs, and 13 runs—far from convincing wins for Pakistan.
