The Netherlands on winning the toss opted to field on a flat deck. Opener Jack was dismissed early for 5, then came skipper Kathryn Bryce, she along with Sarah had a solid partnership between them of 119 runs. Kathryn Bryce scored 73, which is the highest run scored by a player in this tournament. She was equally well supported by opener Sarah Bryce who scored 65. With the bowl, Heather Siegers picked up 2 wickets for the Netherlands.
Chasing the target of 168, the Netherlands players were in pressure from ball number one as they had a huge target to chase, the pressure made the Netherlands lose wickets in tandem as they lost 4 wickets very soon. All credits to Scotland bowlers especially Maqsood and Fraser who kept on hitting the good lengths, by the end of power-play the Netherlands were at 13 for 3 in 6 overs which almost sealed the game for Scotland. Though Scotland won they will be still disappointed as they missed a chance to qualify for semifinals with a small margin. On the other side, Netherlands would try to perform better in future tournaments.
