Winning the toss, Ireland opted to bat in a pressure game. Ireland openers failed to provide a good start as Ireland openers lost both the wickets within 3 overs, not only the openers senior players like Kim Garth too failed. It was the skipper Laura Delany and Richardson who had a partnership of 30 which helped Ireland to set a moderate total of 85 on board.

Fahima Khatun, the leg-spinning all-rounder was the pick of the bowler for Bangladesh as she picked up the wickets of well-settled players like Delany and Richardson, which made Ireland to all-out under 100.

Chasing is never easy in the pressure games, with 86 required to win they had a decent start of 21 runs in 4 overs but suddenly Bangladesh lost wickets in tandem, they fell apart from 21 for 1 to 30 for 4.

With this win, Bangladesh qualifies to Finals and also mainly to T20 World Cup.
