Players to Watch
The left-arm pace sensation of Central Hinds was one of the most successful bowlers for her side in the last match against Otago Sparks. She claimed 20/2 in four overs and bowled well in the middle overs. She also scored nine off five, including one four, batting at number 10.
The wicket-keeper and right-handed opening batter of Central Hinds top-scored for her side in the last game against Otago Sparks. She smashed 59 off 46, including five boundaries and a six. She held the innings together and was there till the 17th over.
The right-handed middle-order batter of Canterbury Magicians was the lone warrior in the fight in the last fixture against Wellington Blaze. Batting at number five, she scored 45 off 34, including three hits to the fence and one over it. She came into bat in the fourth over and was there till the 15th.
The right-arm speedster of Canterbury Magicians was the pick of the bowlers for her side in her last appearance against Wellington Blaze. She accounted for 18/3 in three overs and was effective with the new ball and in the death overs. She was also one of the most economical bowlers.
It will be the fourth game of the tournament to be played at the venue. Out of the three matches played here, the teams batting first have won one, and the teams batting second have won two. Though the surface looks good for batting, a thick cloud cover could assist the fast bowlers. A high chance of rain may play a spoilsport. Toss will be important as the captain winning it may look to field first, given the rain forecast.
The weather is expected to be cloudy and very warm. A little rain in the afternoon is forecast. The maximum temperature attained during the day will be 28 degrees Celsius. There will be a 75 percent cloud cover and a 75 percent chance of rain. The wind will blow from the southwest.
