Players to Watch

Claudia Green:

The right-arm pace sensation of Central Hinds was the pick of the bowlers in her last outing against Northern Brave. She claimed 23/3 in four overs, opening the bowling. She displayed good control over the new ball.

Hannah Rowe:

The star all-rounder of Central Hinds had a brilliant outing with both bat and ball in the last game against Northern Brave. The right-arm medium-pacer accounted for 11/2 in four overs. She opened the bowling with Claudia Green and provided an early breakthrough to her side. With the bat, she hammered a 33-ball 50, including one boundary and three sixes.

Saachi Shahri:

The right-handed opening batter of Auckland Hearts led the run chase from the front in the last fixture against Otago Sparks. She smashed 40 off 38, including five hits to the fence. In the process, she put together 48 runs with her opening partner Anna Browning to set the tone for the run chase.

Fran Jonas:

The wily left-arm leg-spinner of Auckland Hearts was the lone wicket-taker for her team in her last appearance against Otago Sparks. She opened the bowling and scalped 20/3 in four overs, including one maiden. She bowled well with the new ball and in the death overs.

Pitch

It will be the third game of the tournament at the venue. The teams batting first and second have won one match each. Though the last fixture was a relatively high-scoring affair producing 288 runs, this game may yield fewer runs. A thick cloud cover and a high chance of rain could play a spoilsport. The conditions will favour the bowlers.

Weather

The weather is expected to be cloudy with showers. The maximum temperature attained during the day will be 20 degrees Celsius. There will be a 100 percent cloud cover and a 91 percent chance of rain. The wind will blow from the east-northeast.
