The Women’s Super Smash is the premier T20 cricket tournament organized by the New Zealand Cricket board (NZC). The tournament kickstarted in 2007 and featured six teams who squared off against each other twice in what was a double round-robin format and has since been a very integral part of the New Zealand domestic cricket ecosystem with the top-flight women cricketers regularly featuring in it. The competition will provide the White Ferns with players to consider for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup which will be held in South Africa in 2023.

The teams participating in the Women’s Super Smash are Canterbury Magicians, Wellington Blaze, Central Hinds, Auckland Hearts, Otago Sparks and Northern Brave who will play each other twice in a round-robin league format. The tournament will span from 23rd December to 6th February with exciting league stage matches and will have the eliminator and the finals on 9th February and 11th February respectively! The top three teams from the league stage table will advance to the playoffs consisting of the Eliminator and the elusive final.
