Day 6 – Jharkhand’s Indrani Roy and Railways’ M D Thirushkamini Gets Century in Senior One Day Trophy

The Women’s Senior One Day Tournament saw a dozen matches being played on Tuesday. In this article, we will have a quick look at all the 12 fixtures.

Hyderabad vs Chhattisgarh

Hyderabad took on Chhattisgarh in round three of the Elite Group A. Batting first, Chhattisgarh was all out for 133 in 49.3 overs. In reply, Hyderabad cruised to a victory in 43.1 overs, with five wickets to spare. The top performers in the match were Shivi Pandey (38 runs) and Pransu Priya (2-28 in 10 overs) from Chhattisgarh and Anuradha Nayak (35 runs) and Vellore Mahesh Kavya (4-25 in 10 overs) from Hyderabad.

Jharkhand vs Gujarat

In the same group, Jharkhand locked horns with Gujarat. Batting first, Gujarat scored 229-5 in 50 overs. In reply, Jharkhand chased down the target in 47.1 overs, winning the match by six wickets. The top performers in the match were Sarvi (90 runs) and Krutikaben (2-35 in 10 overs) from Gujarat and Indrani Roy (130 not out) and Arti (2-30 in 10 overs) from Jharkhand.

Odisha vs Tripura

The third match of the day in Elite Group A was played between Odisha and Tripura. Batting first, Odisha made 163-8 in 50 overs, and in reply, Tripura was all out for 120 in 48.2 overs, falling short of 43 runs. The top performers of the match were Sushree Dibyadarshini (59 not out) and Madhusmita Behera (5-15 in 9 overs) from Odisha and Mouchaity Debnath (31 runs) and A B Das (3-14 in 10 overs) from Tripura.

Assam vs Saurashtra

In the third round of Elite Group B, Assam and Saurashtra clashed against each other. Batting first, Assam was bowled out for 161 in 49.3 overs and in reply, Saurashtra fell short of just six runs as it was bundled out for 155 in 47.2 overs. The top performers in the match were Monikha Das (60 runs) and Nibedita (3-33 in 9 overs) from Assam and M Jadeja (53 runs) and R B Dabhi (2-20 in 9.3 overs) from Saurashtra.

Bengal vs Uttarakhand

In another match in Elite Group B, Bengal took on Uttarakhand. Batting first, Bengal piled up 231-4 in 50 overs, and in reply, Uttarakhand was restricted to 152-9 in 50 overs, losing the match by 79 runs. The top performers in the match were P P Paul (73 runs) and S P Aich (4-25 in 10 overs) from Bengal and A N Tomar (82 not out) and Radha Chand (2-48 in 9 overs) from Uttarakhand.

Haryana vs Railways

In the same group, Haryana and Railways locked horns against each other. Riding on M D Thirushkamini’s unbeaten century, Railways posted 287-1 in 50 overs. In reply, Haryana could only manage 134-4 in 50 overs, losing the match by 153 runs. The top performers in the match were M D Thirushkamini (114 not out) and Asha S (2-18 in 10 overs) from Railways and Bhawna Ohlan (38 runs) and Priyanka Sharma (1-59 in 10 overs) from Haryana.

Maharashtra vs Goa

In the third round of Elite Group C, Maharashtra and Goa clashed against each other. Batting first, Maharashtra put up 242-7 in 50 overs. In reply, Goa was done and dusted for 187 in 45.2 overs, falling shy of 55 runs. The top performers in the match were Anuja Patil (88 not out) and P B Garkhede (4-41 in 10 overs) from Maharashtra and Tejashwini Duragad (69 runs) and Rupali Chavan (3-42 in 8 overs) from Goa.

Rajasthan vs Andhra Pradesh

Another match in the Elite Group C was played between Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh. Batting first, Andhra Pradesh posted 202-7 in 50 overs. In reply, Rajasthan was all out for 154 in 46.1 overs, losing the match by 48 runs. The top performers in the match were S Hima Bindu (49 runs) and G Chandra Lekha (3-23 in 6.1 overs) from Andhra Pradesh and S R Jat (78 runs) and K P Choudhary (3-26 in 10 overs) from Rajasthan.

Chandigarh vs Uttar Pradesh

In the same group, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh faced off against each other. Batting first, Uttar Pradesh scored 219-7 in 50 overs, and in reply, Chandigarh fought hard only to lose by 16 runs. The top performers in the match were Anjali Singh (62 runs and 2-31 in 10 overs) from Uttar Pradesh and Kashvee Gautam (60 runs) and Amanjot Kaur (3-61 in 10 overs) from Chandigarh.

Pondicherry vs Arunachal Pradesh

In round four of Plate Group, Pondicherry took on Arunachal Pradesh. Batting first, Arunachal Pradesh was done and dusted for a miserly sum of 42 in 34.4 overs. In reply, Pondicherry ran away with the game in just 7.1 overs, registering a 10-wicket win. The top performers in the match were Nabam Yapu (13 runs) from Arunachal Pradesh and Bhakti Tamore (32 not out) and Jaya (5-9 in 9.4 overs) from Pondicherry.

Mizoram vs Manipur

Another match in the Plate Group was played between Mizoram and Manipur. Batting first, Mizoram posted 221-4 in 50 overs. In reply, Manipur was restricted to 200-5, falling shy of just 21 runs. The top performers in the match were Ruchita Buley (84 not out) and Zuali (84 runs and 2-22 in 7 overs) from Mizoram and Rebika S (51 runs) and Milan Y (1-37 in 10 overs) from Manipur.

Bihar vs Sikkim

In the same group, Bihar and Sikkim locked horns against each other. Batting first, Bihar was all out for 186 in 47.5 overs and in reply, Sikkim achieved the target on the very last ball, winning the match by two wickets. The top performers in the match were Apurva Kumari (81 runs) and Rachana Kumari (3-22 in 10 overs) from Bihar and Rinki Rajak (74 runs) and Sarika Koli (45 runs and 3-24 in 9 overs) from Sikkim.
