Ahead of the T20 World Cup 2020, here is the list of bowlers with most T20 wickets in this decade:
1) Anissa Mohammed –
The off-spinning bowler from Trinidad and Tobago has played a major role for Windies in the shortest format of the game. She has topped the highest wicket-taker list with a total of 102 scalps in 98 matches with an economy of just 5.59. Though Windies’ performance has gone down in the last one year. She has kept on delivering with the ball when needed for the team. The office will be ending this year as the most successful bowler in the t20i of this decade.
2) Ellyse Perry-
The Superstar of Women’s cricket has always been in the news with her excellent and consistent performance with both bat and ball. Coming to the ball, the NSW allrounder has been a serious contributor to the team with her bowling. In the last 10 years, she has picked up 97 wickets in 102 games with an economy under 6. She has played a major role in picking up early wickets and as well as in death bowling. Her performance with the ball helped Aussies a lot to clinch the World Cup.
3) Nida Dar-
Spinners and their domination in t20 is the trend now. Recently, the off-spinning allrounder got a contract with the Sydney Thunder team for 2019 WBBL. All credits to her excellent performance for the Pakistan team. Her performance in the National team made her earn a contract in the WBBL. She is the first Pakistani Cricketer to play WBBL. 4) Daniel Hazell –
Adding one more spinner to the list is the off-spinner Hazell from Durham. Daniel Hazell though gave up International cricket in January 2019. She has been a great server for the team with the ball. England has always been a solid team in the 20-20 format. Players like Hazell is one of the reasons for England’s domination in Women’s cricket. 5) Shabnim Ismail –
The fast bowling All-rounder from Africa has impressed everyone with her pace in recent times. She is one of the very few fast bowlers who clocks 130 plus speed. The proteas bowler makes in the list of top wicket-takers of the decade in t20i. She has claimed 85 wickets in 78 matches with an economy of 5.63.
6) Poonam Yadav-
Another spinner and this time it is the leg spinner from India makes the list. Poonam Yadav has been impressive with her leg-spin and has picked up 85 wickets in just 62 matches with an economy of 5.69. She has been the leader of the Indian spin attack. She had a great decade with the ball. Hope, she delivers in the upcoming t20 world cup.
7) Anya Shrubshole-
The senior pro from the English cricket team. She will be remembered for her excellent performance in Worldcup finals against India. She has not only performed in ODI. Her contribution to t20i is also massive. She leads England bowling attack and picked up 85 wickets in just 65 matches with an economy of 5.69. Her experience in the upcoming T20i World Cup will be very helpful for the England team.
8) Sana Mir-
One more spinner and this time it is the most experienced spin bowler of Pakistan team, Sana Mir. The senior pro has been a consistent performer for Pakistan in all the formats. Coming to the t20i, she has picked 80 wickets out of 100 matches with an economy of 5.57 in this decade. She might be playing her last world cup and will be giving her best to make her team win.
9) Stafanie Taylor –
The Windies skipper Stafanie Taylor is one of the top allrounders in Women’s Cricket. Windies had won the t20i world cup under her leadership. In their World Cup-winning campaign, she was the major contributor with the bat and ball. In the last ten years, she has picked up 74 wickets in 91 matches with an economy of 5.60.
10) Sophie Devine –
The dashing Allrounder of New Zealand also makes the list of top 10 bowlers of the decade. She is one of the top Allrounders in the world. Her performance graph is going high with the years. She has picked up 72 wickets in 73 matches with an economy of 6.28. Though she has been a bit on the expensive side. She has contributed when it matters the most for the team.
