Mithali Raj is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in Women’s cricket history and is the current captain of the Indian women’s ODI team. The right-handed opener is considered India’s greatest female batsman ever. She also holds the record for most fifties scored in an ODI career, with her total of 53 half-centuries in her memorable career. She also is the first cricketer to score 7 consecutive half-centuries in women’s ODI. The record holder for second-most fifties in ODI is England captain Charlotte Edwards. Edwards is England’s most decorated captain, known for her 2009 World Cup and Ashes victory. She registered an incredible 46 fifties in 191 matches which saw her becoming one of the highest run-scorers in ODI history. Edwards had an extensive 20 -year career where she led by example and cemented her name as one of the greatest in women’s cricket.

Thirdly we have West Indies captain Stafanie Taylor who took over the captaincy from the legendary Merissa Aguilleira. Universally known for leading her team to victory in the 2016 T20 WC and being the player of the tournament. Taylor has racked up 36 fifties in the span of her 11- year career. Debbie Hockley is the cricketer with the fifth most fifties in ODI history. Debbie Hockley is the White Ferns former captain who had recorded 34 half-centuries in her tenure as skipper. Along with this record, she holds the record for most runs scored in an ICC ODI World Cup. The prolific Hockley was also the first New Zealand women to score 1000 runs in the ODI format

5. Karen Rolton – 33 fifties

Australian left-handed batsman Karen Rolton is fourth on the list of most fifties scored in ODI’s. Karen Rolton was deadly in all three formats of the game and is one of the most feared batsmen. New Zealand coach Steve Jenkin once said that the best tactic against Rolton was to avoid dismissing the Australian team’s openers so she could not bat. She recorded 33 fifties and 8 centuries in the ODI format. Her most memorable moment was in the 2005 World Cup final, where she scored 107 not out and won the trophy and player of the match.
