Bio:

The 22-year-old left-arm pacer made her international debut on 18th January 2022 in a T20I against Sri Lanka. She made her ODI debut on 14th April 2024 against the USA. She scored 9 runs with the bat and picked up one wicket with the ball on her ODI debut. Slater is part of a triplet and has familial ties to Scotland, with her mother hailing from Giffnock. Her cricketing journey began in Yorkshire, where she made her county debut in 2019 for Yorkshire against Lancashire. Over the years, Slater showcased her bowling prowess, notably taking four wickets in the 2022 Women’s Twenty20 Cup for Yorkshire.

She was the leading wicket taker at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier as Scotland Women qualified for a first-ever World Cup. The left-arm quick took 11 wickets at 13.81, including a career-best 5-17 against Uganda.Slater’s domestic career expanded as she joined the Northern Diamonds squad for the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy in 2020. She further gained exposure by representing Northern Superchargers in The Hundred and Northern Diamonds in various competitions. In 2021, she secured a professional contract with Northern Diamonds, solidifying her place in the team.
