Brief History of Serbia Women’s National Cricket Team
The Serbia national women’s cricket team represents Serbia in international women’s cricket. With the International Cricket Council (ICC) granting full Women’s Twenty20 International (WT20I) status to all its members in April 2018, Serbia women’s cricket gained recognition and the opportunity to showcase their talent.
The team made their WT20I debut on 10 September 2022, against Greece, at the Moara Vlasiei Cricket Ground in Ilfov County. Serbia chose to bat first but struggled to set a competitive total, managing only 31/7 in their allotted 20 overs. In response, Greece comfortably chased down the target in just 5.5 overs without losing any wickets and Serbia lost their maiden debut match.
